Amasong’s Fall Concert, “Brava: 25 years of music premiered by Amasong” will be held Saturday, Nov. 7 at 4 pm and Sunday Nov. 8 at 4 pm. The concert will be a homecoming for former musical directors and old friends of the choir, featuring guest artist Lilli Lewis, visits from former directors Kristina Boerger, Meagan Smith, and much more.
Amasong presents a concert and choral workshop by special guests, the Northern Harmony Women’s Quartet.
At 7:30 on Wednesday January 7, enjoy a concert of eclectic vocal music for women’s voices from around the world, performed by Patty Cuyler, Emily Miller, Suzannah Park & Mollie Stone. Tickets may be purchased at the door, $15 ($10 students)
From 5:30-7 pm, the artists present a choral singing workshop for women and girlst 12 and up. Workshop fee: $10 ($5 students)
Discount fees are available for those who attend both the workshop and concert: $20 combined regular fee ($10 combined student fee)

Amasong’s Spring concert, “Not For Sale: A Concert Celebrating Women’s Work and Women’s Worth,” will be in late April, ushering in a change of schedule for the Amasong season. We’ve come a long way, and we celebrate our achievements as well as explore the road ahead in music from around the globe. Free parking is available in the parking garage across from the church. This year, Amasong will be at Urbana’s Market at the Square 4 times. You can purchase our CDs, t-shirts, and cards, sign up for our fans list, or sign up for an audition. Look for us in Row 5 with the other community groups on the following Saturdays:
AMASONG announces the release of a new album of live concert recordings! Everything She Touches Changes includes music sung from 2009 to 2012 under director Meagan Smith. The album celebrates the power of change and the strength of women as creators and transformers. The CD package features details from a stunning art quilt by Nina Paley. All tracks were recorded live in McKinley Presbyterian Church. Purchase the album at an Amasong performance or send an email to: email@example.com.
